I learned the power of this quote when my dad passed away. For so long, I masked my grief because I people would respond with "you're still upset about losing your dad" and while I have removed myself from those people, I would find myself seeing eye rolls when I brought up the loss of my dad. What I learned about life in those moments is "it's okay not to be okay" PERIOD. Whether you are in a dark moment or like myself, in complete loss, no matter what, remember that it is okay not to be okay.
